Many people will think the "Mother Mary" words in that songs was a biblical reference when they heard it. However based on what Paul McCartney says he was get inspired by his  mother named Mary who died when he was 14. He get the inspiration when he had a dream where he saw his mother, who had been dead for ten years. His mother saying, 'It's going to be OK, just let it be.' From that word he felt so great. Bagaimanapun berdasarkan apa yang dikatakan oleh Paul McCartney dia mendapat inspirasi daripada ibunya bernama Mary yang meninggal dunia ketika dia berumur 14 tahun. Dia mendapat inspirasi apabila dia bermimpi di mana dia melihat ibunya, yang telah meninggal dunia selama sepuluh tahun dalam mimpinya. Ibunya berkata, 'Ia akan baik-baik saja, biarkan saja.' Daripada perkataan itu dia berasa sangat hebat. Setelah bangun dia berfikir perkataan itu bagus.' Oleh itu dia pun mula menulis lagu 'Let It Be' secara positif."
